Chapter 1

Hi, its Hannah..

Just kidding, its Balqis here and welcome to Chapter 1.
My first impressions of this subject was not what I expected. You see, I took IT for my elective back in high school. Though similar, this class had me thinking twice about what I knew.
I also thought that instead of this blog becoming just a journal, this would also be a great place for me to not only share, but also make my own notes of the lessons. So here we go.

For this week's lesson we were introduced to Blogs and CALL. Both very familiar but I had some catching up to do. First off was, what is this 'Blog' these humans keep talking about? Well, Blog is simply a place in the World Wide Web for people to share and talk about any information they want. We touched on a few types of Blogs as we created our own.

Weblog

  • frequently updated website
  • easy to set up and maintain
  • can also display pictures and videos
Tutor Blog

  • own by the teacher
  • content mainly syllabus,material,assignment
  • student not allowed to comment
Class Blog
  • site shared within the class
  • used for discussions and comments are allowed
  • student involve in the content
  • teacher as moderator
Learner Blog

  • students own blog
  • students share thoughts and reflect
  • online journal
 But why we use blogs?
However there are some disadvantages of blog

CALL
